Leche Malo was born before an endless expanse of sorrow and freedom. 'Smoke Cigarettes' is a processing of the destruction of his truest loves (art, Camrin, control) and the foundation of the artistic process of this musical project.

Leche was homeless.

The drums were recorded for free by James Meder in LA, bless his heart.

The vocals and guitars were recorded in a La Quinta via some terrible USB microphone meant for hobbyist podcasters trying not to anger guests in the surrounding rooms.

Lifelong collaborator Erik 'Lobo' Gilbert played bass guitar and mixed the tune in Chicago.

Phil did the mastering in Canada. We love Canada.
